PW Communications founded

2018

Unifying government datasets

PW Communications unifies government datasets to reveal trends in contracting and the federal market, publishing findings via the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Research begins into how participants in military-sponsored innovation programs perform in the defense market catches the attention of stakeholders in the Department of War.

Air Force stakeholders encourage PW Communications to adapt the technical approach used in their NPS paper for Department of War use cases, prompting PW Communications to launch SHELDON. SHELDON receives funding from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and Defense Technical Information Center to develop a purpose-built data platform to facilitate data-driven decisionmaking.
